This week a little bit more has been done, all the painting! Yes we're very boring, we picked white.
The staining has also been done and I think it looks awesome!
I do wonder though, whether holes and imperfections like this should be accepted?
All the timber at the front is now all this chocolately brown which goes with the blue bricks really nicely.
That folks is a completely smashed window. Bastards.
Luckily, the goop has pretty much kept the glass all together and prevented our whole house being opened to vandals and thieves.
Our kitchen looks much the same, it looks like we're waiting for the splashback for anything else to happen.
Here is our laundry door which you might remeber was a weird green colour. Insert Tom for scale.
Doors sans Tom.
I also noticed that we have the cutest pattern under our windows. They've sliced some bricks and used them to bolster the brick trim above.
This is me having a crack at shoving the camera through the open window to try and see the show tiles properly. You can see a sliver of our green glass tiles which we'll be quite excited to see.
Our benchtops have also been installed and are being protected while they paint.
The interiors have been sealed and the bi fold doors look quite good inside.
And outside. Impressed Tom is impressed.
Above our bi fold doors is a timber panel which has been painted to match... I don't know. Something else outside the house is that colour I'm sure.
Lastly I thought I would share what's happening around our house.
These are the houses across the road.
One of our neighbours, a wedge tailed eagle, joined his mate to soar above our street.
This weird black tree is what the next street got for their naturestrip. They also got grass seed instead of turf. I feel pretty good about what we got!
The kangaroos still visit occasionally...
At the end of our street you can see that the house below us are going much faster! I think this is because they are all 'ready built' houses that will be sold when finished.
