Our roof tiles have also arrived and while they are concrete they were at least shrink wrapped, probably for shipping rather than weather proofing.
Insert Tom's arm for scale - our massive kitchen windows have been installed!
Complete with cat ledge.
The frame is just about up and most of the roof trusses have been installed.
Our view from the dining area to the front door, with the light pole dead centre.
Our bedroom window is the same timber as the bifold doors so hopefully this means that having the doors left in the rain won't matter.
We deliberately chose a house facade with eaves over the front. Eventually there will be extra brickwork pillars either side of the bedroom window.
The biggest room in the house for the smallest cars in the world.
The guttering is up and laundry door and garage door are installed.
View of our house from the street.
We're still yet to get onto site with our supervisor to add in the noggings (or dwangs, depending on where you're from) but we've at least decided where to put them. I've also come to terms with the stupid shape of our walk in robe and the fact that we'd be much more able to build a wardrobe in there if we'd thought to move the toilet. Sadly we can't think of everything in a two dimensional space.
Slab Complete: Sept 15 2012
