Almost finished. Pity someone broke in :( Week 14

We were so excited earlier this week to get the call that Haenly is ready to do a handover. By the time our inspection is ready we should have all the flooring and getting prepped for the driveway.

Sadly today, we discovered that maybe someone else worked out that we were nearly finished and smashed the door in to see what it all looked like. Not happy.

It makes me nervous about security because here we are putting in excellent quality locks to find that people are happy just to smash the door frame apart to get in. Makes you feel sick really. We immediately called the police and followed their instructions to secure the house and they will follow up with Henley as the house is not technically ours yet. Hopefully this doesn't set us back too far for moving in.

We're both so angry that there are people in the world who routinely prey on new housing estates knowing that people do not live there so they can break in.

I don't want to put up many photos as I'm not sure whether this is a good idea in light of what has happened.  I may also make this blog password protected (ask me via facebook or email for the password) so that our details aren't being posted publicly.
