I admit it. I'm holding my breath. Hope is restored. Sort of.
Don't get me wrong, no building has actually started, but at least within 24 hours of getting a new contract adminsitrator we have someone who sounds like they know what they're talking about, has provided us with the details for our Site Supervisor, who is due to call us today to tell us when the concrete is to be poured.
She's also explained exactly how the site date will be provided to us in writing which is probably the main reason we contact them. (260 days from site start is the maximum time that the builder can take to build before they start paying us weekly money).
These are good noises for the building company to be making. Emails come promptly with proper words and information in them (unlike the last administrator) and gives us specific, relevant and timely information.
I like her already.
So, can you request that the old contract administrator stays permanently on leave? :)
ReplyDeleteHehe I think once building starts she sorts of fades out anyway in favour of the Site Supervisor. In any case, it was interesting that she didn't say she was our cotract adminsitrator while our other one was on leave, she just said that she was the new adminsitrator "now that we're going to site". So who knows?
