Our slab is done! Yesterday was the birthday of our slab. We know this because yesterday when we visited they were still pouring it. We left them alone and came back today to stomp all over our new slab.
Clearly however, we were not the first to christen the slab. Some locals had already been and left thei deposit on our home:
Our house currently looks both huge and tiny. It's hard to imagine what rooms will feel like in this house. We've done lots of measuring and so far it all seems to make sense once we actually go back to our plans. A small bedroom is a bit of a sacrifice for a larger living space and hopefully our clothes will fit in the walk-in-robes...
Along the western edge of the house -
Same side looking in the opposite direction. That kink in the slab is our ensuite as a result of us deciding that the shower door and the toilet were too close together. We now have the biggest ensuite on the planet.
