Finally! Settlement on the land is done. The land is officially ours! We went to visit up on the weekend (sorry no photos) to check how it looks and that all the pegs denoting our boundaries are in the right spot.
Typically our bank (no names) has caused more problems asking for us to stump a considerable sum on the spot to make up the balance of settlement.
This causes more problems down the track as it isn't clear whether we will get a bonus later on in return. Originally the bank had all the money they needed plus the lately shelved First Home Owner's Grant (hereafter referred to as FHOG) so it seems like we have too much money going into this black hole.
Next step is to work out when our builder actually wants to start!
