In the midst of conflicting with banks and loans and whether we continue we hadn't visited Doreen in a while. We felt totally uncommitted to the house and the process for quite a while.
But good news! Our broker took us to another lender who valued the project more appropriately (read: what we wanted) and now we can go ahead in confidence.
It was such a stressful experience at the time, but I'm really pleased that we can get on with it all now. Since I'm on holidays I thought I would go up and visit to see how it is all going.
Our road has had its gutters put in and the street lights are there! (I hope they aren't in front of our bedroom!)
View from the block from the side.
Zoomed in a bit. I think our block is near the third street light in the row on the right.
Patience Avenue looks like it's being asphalted.
By the look of this I'd be pretty surprised if the land gets titled this month. They still need to rake all the blocks back after they have piled it up on one side and driven over the other. They still need to asphalt the roads and put in all the easement utilities.
But still! Excitement!
