So two days ago we picked our colours and it was very exciting and only slightly overwhelming. But already tension builds as we try and clarify our tile colour.
In an attempt to make this blog interesting I collected pictures of things and colours that we had selected. This is where I came across a bit of a conundrum.
To steer clear of the everpresent brown in most modern interior design templates, I picked white tiles with a green mosaic glass feature tile. This feature tile was referred to as "Amore Glass Celeste" at the showroom. All well and good. However, when I 'googled' my tile to show everyone how lovely and awesome it is, the picture online looked rather different. No sweat, online pics often look different from the real thing. The problem is, my desired tile looks rather a lot like a differently named tile in the same range on the manufacturers website.
Here they are together.
Now if I said to you that my bathroom feature tiles were bright green, which picture would you pick?
The name "Amore Glass Celeste" refers to the bottom picture.
My memory isn't too bad and I would swear that in the showroom we selected the top tile, which the manufacturer refers to as "Amore Glass Verde" (most linguists would pick that verde means green) but our showroom calls it "Amore Glass Celeste".
So now what do I do? I've tried discussing it with our colourist. She maintains that we picked Amore Celeste which is a green tile (fat chance). The manufacturer gave me their product codes but what's the bet that Henley won't refer to these codes?
