And then you have to think of it this way, not the other way...
It might seem odd that we are fussing around so much with bedroom 4. Bedroom 4 is our planned Study, so it makes sense for us that it should be entered off the living room. While it might look easier to pick Bedroom 3, the problem becomes more obvious when you orient the plans to the same direction as the built house. Bedrooms 2 & 3 both face west which means that they will get afternoon sun.
In our current house, our desks are configured to face each other (I sometimes get a cursory glance in my direction mid game this way, how romantic!) and they are both perpendicular to the window of our living room, which faces west. So each and every day we have a fight with the sun and the curtains about heat and glare onto our desks. Talk about first-world-problems.
So we saw an opportunity to fix this by using Bedroom 4 which faces east. Only problem is walking up half the house to double back into the room. We've submitted the above change and we'll see what they say. Hopefully it's all easy and we won't be making the roof fall in.
